Wedding Bar Hire — Bar Units & Food Stations
Tables and chairs play a central role in your event’s setup. They provide a place for guests to sit, dine, and interact, but they also contribute significantly to the overall theme and aesthetic. Choosing the right tables and chairs for hire ensures that your event is both stylish and functional. Practicality is equally important. Tables affect the layout of your space and how food and drinks are served, while comfortable seating encourages guests to relax and enjoy themselves. Renting tables and chairs allows you to customise the setup to fit your venue and guest count perfectly, whether you’re hosting an intimate dinner or a large-scale banquet.
Rustic & Wooden Bar Hire
Round Tables: These are a timeless choice for formal occasions such as weddings, galas, and banquets. Round tables encourage conversation and interaction, as guests can easily engage with everyone at the table. Our rental options include a range of sizes, accommodating between four and ten guests, making them suitable for intimate gatherings or large celebrations.
Rectangular Tables: Ideal for corporate events, family-style dinners, or casual receptions, rectangular tables offer versatility and practicality. They can be arranged in rows for a formal setup or grouped together for a communal dining experience. Renting rectangular tables allows you to adapt the layout to fit your specific event needs.
High Cocktail Tables: Perfect for standing receptions, networking events, or cocktail hours, these high tables add a modern and casual vibe to your space. Available for rent in various styles, they are often paired with bar stools or left standing to encourage mingling.
Specialty Tables: For unique catering requirements, we also offer specialty tables for hire. These include buffet tables, dessert tables, and display tables, providing a dedicated space for serving food, showcasing drinks, or displaying decorative elements.
Wedding Bar Hire — Frequently Asked Questions
What is included in your wedding bar hire?
Our wedding bar hire covers the bar furniture and equipment — bar units, bar trolleys, poseur tables, bar stools, and lounge furniture. Glassware, linen, and tableware can be added to your quote. Bar staff are not included — we recommend contacting a specialist wedding bar staffing agency.
What is the difference between a bar unit and a bar trolley?
A bar unit is a fixed, full-size bar structure — typically 2–3 metres wide — that acts as the main drinks station for your reception. A bar trolley is a smaller, mobile piece that can be moved around the venue and is ideal for serving champagne on arrival, cocktails during the reception, or wine at the wedding breakfast.
Can I hire a bar unit and bar trolleys together?
Absolutely — many couples hire a main bar unit for the evening reception and one or two bar trolleys for the arrival drinks and wedding breakfast service. Add both to your quote basket and our team will provide a combined package price.
How many poseur tables do I need for a wedding drinks reception?
As a general rule, allow one poseur table for every 8–10 standing guests. For a cocktail area where guests will mingle, complement the poseur tables with lounge seating — one lounge set (sofa + 2 armchairs + coffee table) per 15–20 guests creates a comfortable balance of standing and seated zones.
What glassware should I hire for my wedding bar?
For a full wedding bar, we recommend wine glasses, champagne flutes, water glasses, and at least one cocktail or highball glass per guest. If you are serving gin or craft cocktails, our balloon gin glasses and martini glasses are popular additions. Browse our full wedding glassware collection for the complete range.
How far in advance should I book wedding bar hire?
We recommend booking 6 to 12 months in advance for peak season weddings (May to September), particularly for LED bar units which are in high demand. For off-peak dates, we can often accommodate shorter lead times. Call +44 203 609 0609 for urgent enquiries.
